Taking inspiration from nature and influences from our travels over the years we love to add a modern twist to this centuries old tradition. Stonehouse Smokery makes a unique range of quality whole muscle charcuterie and salami to complement any adventurous table. All our charcuterie is handmade in our very own smokery kitchen, we only use ingredients sourced from local suppliers with the highest welfare standards and a commitment to ethical trading. Full of flavours to tickle the tastebuds of any connoisseur, Stonehouse Charcuterie offers a new experience for fans of British-made cooked and air dried meats. Available wholesale and retail directly from Stonehouse Smokery and at a variety of handpicked outlets.
All our meats are 100% British and sourced locally from fantastic ethically minded producers... We smoke everything ourselves and firmly believe you won’t taste better (Try us and see!). Each small batch of our whole muscle cures are supplied in pre-sliced 40g packs for your convenience.
Produced in small batches, our salamis are hand made using coarse mince and hand cut muscle and fat to give a lovely variation in textures. We only use natural casings and each flavour comes in the traditional salami form or as a pre sliced 60g pack, perfect for charcuterie boards or artisan pizzas!
Award Winning goodness…
In 2022 we decided to take the plunge & get ready for some serious criticism. We entered 10 of our products into the Great Taste Awards and to our delight, 9 out of the 10 products received awards. We got two 3 star awards, three 2 stars and four 1 star awards. To say we were blown away is an understatement! In 2023 we won another two Great Taste awards to add to the collection.
2022 was a fantastic year for us as a business. We made it into the final three of the Cumbria Food Awards food producer of the year and the Cumbria Farming Awards for food retailer which has been a complete honour for us to be recognised amongst some absolutely amazing & dedicated businesses in our beautiful county.
We are extremely proud to have made the leap from recyclable plastic packaging to our new eco pouches which are fully home compostable. We know this because we buried one in our garden prior to committing. Within three months there was barely anything left. They are about 5 times as expensive as our previous bags but we feel this is a small price to pay for having an entire packaging range that is compostable or reusable!
