Farmers Markets

Bringing our artisan produce to your doorstep. Come and discover our passion for excellence in flavours and sustainable farming practice.

We much prefer to meet you all face to face and farmers markets give us the perfect platform to do that. It’s great to show our passion to everyone we meet and to feel the passion for local and ethically made produce that we regularly see in our customers. It fills us with a great hope for the future and even more pride in what we do.

At the farmers markets you will find us with our full range of products from salamis which we sell individually by weight and in 60g pre-sliced packs, to whole muscle cures which are sold in handy 40g pre-sliced packets, and the odd seasonal surprise including smoked tomatoes, Nocellara olives and smoked sea salt flavoured with wild garlic or dried tomato and chilli. All of these are fantastic to take home along with an assortment of beautiful goods from our fellow passionate stallholders.

If you can’t make it to see us at the markets we attend, why not head to our online shop where you can order our produce direct to your door.

Hexham Farmers Market
Hexham Market Place, Hexham, NE46 1XQ

Time: 9am - 1.30pm

Dates: Second & last Saturday of the month

Hexham Farmers Market is a long established market in the heart of the historic town of Hexham in Northumberland. Our producers come from within a 50 mile range of the town and they are all passionate about what they do. They make the products themselves using a high percentage of locally produced ingredients, so the meat you buy at Hexham Farmers’ Market is reared by the producer and the vegetables are locally grown. You can expect a chutney to have been made with locally grown vegetables or fruit. If you have any questions, please ask the producers. We operate twice a month, on the second and fourth Saturday.

Local Heroes NE is the B2C brand of Food and Drink North East.

Our goal is to make locally produced food and drink as accessible as possible to our local communities.

By supporting local businesses, you help create jobs, you keep money in the local economy rather than losing pounds to an anonymous HQ elsewhere in the UK and beyond, you shorten supply chains and reduce food miles and you help us celebrate our fantastic regional food identity.
